Romæ, via Appia, natális sanctórum Mártyrum Tibúrtii, Valeriáni et Máximi, sub Alexándro Imperatóre et Almáchio Præfécto. Horum duo primi, beátæ Cæcíliæ exhortatióne ad Christum convérsi et a sancto Urbáno Papa baptizáti, póstmodum, ob fidei confessiónem, fústibus cæsi, gládio percússi sunt; Máximus vero, Præfécti cubiculárius, cum et ipse, eórum permótus constántia et angélica visióne firmátus, in Christum credidísset, támdiu plumbátis verberátus est, donec spíritum exhaláret. At Rome, on the Appian Way, the birthday of the holy martyrs Tiburtius, Valerian, and Maximus, who suffered in the time of Emperor Alexander and the prefect Almachius.
