Quinto Idus Júlii. Luna . The Eleventh Day of July. The Night of the Moon. 

Romæ sancti Pii Primi, Papæ et Mártyris; qui martyrio coronátus est in persecutióne Marci Aurélii Antoníni. At Rome, Pope Pius I, who was crowned with martyrdom in the persecution of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus.

Bérgomi sancti Joánnis Epíscopi, qui, ob tuéndam cathólicam fidem, ab Ariánis occísus est. At Bergamo, St. John, a bishop, who was killed by the Arians for defending the Catholic faith.

Sidæ, in Pamphylia, sancti Cindéi Presbyteri, qui, sub Diocletiáno Imperatóre et Stratoníco Præside, post multa torménta, injéctus in ignem et nil læsus, demum in oratióne réddidit spíritum. At Sida in Pamphylia, St. Cindeus, priest, in the time of Emperor Diocletian and the governor Stratonicus.
